Frequently Asked Questions

What conditions does acupuncture treat?

Kira specializes in women's health, anxiety, insomnia, digestive issues, autoimmune disorders, and pain management. She takes an individualized approach to each patient.

Does acupuncture hurt?

Most patients find acupuncture comfortable and even deeply relaxing. The needles used are extremely fine — much thinner than standard medical needles — and the majority of people feel little to no discomfort during treatment.

What is Chinese herbal medicine?

Chinese herbal medicine uses carefully formulated combinations of natural substances to support the body's healing process. Herbal formulas are often prescribed alongside acupuncture to reinforce and extend the benefits of treatment.

What other therapies are offered alongside acupuncture?

Kira also incorporates cupping, gua sha, and moxibustion into her treatments as appropriate for each patient's condition and constitution.
